This park on the Steamship and Coal Pocket Pier sections of the New Bedford waterfront provides scenic views and a place to relax or picnic.

The park features several informational placards about the history of the of the Steamship and Coal Pocket piers.

The park also features a memorial to Col. George Claghorn, the builder of the U.S.S. Constitution. Col. Claghorn was a New Bedford resident and had a shipbuilding operation near this area in the 1790's and early 1800's.
